In my long journey of 6 years in the industry, dealing with all sorts of projects/ clients, I always use to ask this question to all the Photoshop experts with whom I met “What is Photoshop?” and guess most of them gave a similar answer which is not correct totally.
The answer I received was “Photoshop is a tool for photo cutting/editing/illustrator.”
On one hand the answer is correct but on other hand, Photoshop has lots and lots of things to do which we don’t find in most of the Photoshop tutorials.
In short if I have to answer the question then I can divide Photoshop into three segments:
a. Multi Media, which we can use for animations and VFX.
b. Web Media, to create rich interactive elements for web pages including photo editing.
c. Print Media, to create high quality graphics designs for printing of posters, banners and cover pages.
I have started this forum with the intension of sharing knowledge related to Photoshop which I gathered during my six years of experience and with lot of research.
